Remember, they never confirmed Phil when he debuted at AEW. It was always talks, but nobody including Punk, never said a thing about returning. This feels like the same push.
WWE isn't like AEW. Seth going out and doing moves and throwing hints isn't something they'd be happy about if they were adamant over not signing him. Hausman is just doing presswork for Punk.
As soon as he debuts, he's going to say, "plans changed, talks happened over the last week, trust me"
