I don't think Michaels has heat with Brian Jr.
The WWE despises negative history they themselves created.
Brian Pillman was signed on the premise that he would recover from a busted ankle, but Brian's career was shoot over by the time he got signed because of his injuries.
Brian took meds every day to cope with the pain and he kept reinjuring himself by overcompensating in the few matches he was able to do.
The WWE put a shitload of money into him, and got nothing in return except the term pillmanising and the gun scene.
Ultimately Brian overdosed on medication which the WWE couldn't prevent and possibly may have caused by toying him around.
Now fast forward 26 years.
Brian's son can be promoted independently, or you can promote him as that guy's son.
The son of a drug addict who died because he couldn't deal with the physical limitations which he himself caused.
That's not a good build for a new guy. That's what you do when you've already built the guy up and want the heel opposing him to get heat.
