The gimmick is solid, but the execution of vignettes like this isn't going as far as needed.

This was borderline unplanned, with weird composition and staging. This should have been shot, lit and edited like a short silent film. Instead, it looks like almost every other AEW segment, too clean and static.

If you're gonna commit, go all the way.

Thats not necessarily true, both the interviewers and commentary team make a point to react and get across the fact that she's being a weirdo and isn't a real actress, again the match where she was handing out scripts before the match had everyone reacting as they should; confused and dismissive.

Her entrance it makes sense, a performer decides how they enter and are portrayed (in kayfabe).

This is the reason all of Wyatt's stuff worked even if it the pay off ending up being ruined by bad booking. They're trying to do something similar with these long vignettes and promos but it doesn't work that great because Toni doesn't a 1/10 of the charisma and the vignettes are directed like shit.
