It might not apply to /pw/ but most wrestling fans today are lefties.
The moment you put someone over as a white guy, it's racist against black wrestlers.
If you put a black guy over a white guy, it's the best wrestler of all time even if he's shit, and the lefty fans won't admit that until he's gone and they can be honest again.
Similarly, lefty fans of wrestling will happily talk about how fantastic it was that Sputnik Monroe did a racial angle in Memphis against an overly racist heel, because it put people together... but if you do that today with Jews and Palestinians, it's another shoah, because in the lefty mind Israel's the babyface.
Or at least it used to be.
Most of the kvetching about this angle... no all of it, comes from Jewish wrestling fans.
So really there's no problem with what Juice Robinson did.
It was perfectly sympathetic and fine when MJF told the story and exploited Jewish grief for personal gain.
How it's happening again and there's a heel to do it it's a problem all of a sudden? No. It's just politically convenient to work yourself into a shoot about it, if you're Jewish.
