I think its a 50/50 split of Punk fanboys and people that just wanna shitpost and stir the pot.
No one wants to see a 25 minute CM Punk (+ friends) match every week that doesn't really lead to anything. Plus the bad backstage morale that made its way to the fans

I liked the idea of Punk more than I actually liked him. His matches were pretty bad and his promos were decent but not what everyone hyped themselves up to be like. His feud with MJF was good but everything before and after that I don’t have much memory of.
