I didn't realize it at the time but his "I was bullied" promo completely destroyed his character. He hinted that something was off about him in a short documentary on YouTube but that was before he even signed with AEW, but it seemed like he was just a rich psycho living a fake life and not a victim of harassment. Ever since the promo he's also been a lot more vocal about anti-semitism on social media and it does nothing but decimate his character even more. And on top of that his title reign has been lackluster and wayyyy too long, he's fine in-ring but is held down by barebones stories and builds. He's lost his initial allure of "I'm a heel and stay in character 24/7" and has just become another babyface masquerading as a tweener, it's so fucking boring.
