Jay doesn't have enough experience with this kind of product.
People see this as a promo battle, Jay doesn't, he's trying to set the babyface up to get one over on him every promo. He can be more selfish, it won't hurt MJF, it'll help the program.
MJF isn't able to save it because he also probably doesn't have experience in this kind of situation.

MJF as a babyface is a total fucking bust because all the retards calling for him to turn full babyface did so without realizing the simple truth that jews are ontologically evil and very very difficult to sincerely root for. MJF is a 5'5 dwarf with the most yiddish mug in the biz, it's a total oversight of common sense to expect people to rally behind him long-term as a sympathetic good guy and not just enjoy his dickhead antics. There probably is a tweenerish line of him acting like a rougish, lovable twat that could work, but they're not finding it.
Don't know what to say for Jay, genuinely though he'd be a good fit for weekly television. Aside from the obvious that he lost his mass and looks like a ten year old boy with a meth addiction.
Also as an aside this weird mental illness shit for midjeff is lame. You get the feeling he's trying to make wrestling this higher art form that broaches tougher subjects but holy fuck brother who cares about being entry-level literature if I wanted that I'd read some actual entry-level literature just play to your format's strengths instead of trying to be something else.

Someone else said it but Jay and MJF want to work incompatible styles. Also Jay is the best Western wrestler in the world right now but is still a shit promo. That could be taught though. MJF can be a workrate guy but that's not the gimmick right now. In reality injuries and the Punk fiasco have pushed AEW to make some weird feud choices. White should have won the title off Page or Danielson not MJF.

For one, it's the feud that shouldn't even be happening and feels completely out of place for a PPV main event. Jay and Juice should've won the tag belts from FTR and had a run with those belts for awhile.

The MJF babyface run is going cold right now and he doesn't feel like a proper world champion. He's at his best when he's a prick heel coming up with creative insults, not this stagey melodramatic babyface bullshit.

Jay White looks like a fucking scrawny meth head right now. Genuinely don't know what happened. He's been jannetied by Juice so hard that it's not even funny. His promo style is still New Japan, and that's not appealing to an American TV audience. Meanwhile Juice's style fits like a silk glove in AEW as it's entertaining, funny and he's always doing something to keep your eyes on him in a match or at ringside.

The didn't have to write the Name on the roll tho they could have had better deniability that it was intentionally anti j . MJF set this quarter thing up in the promo when he started turning face. Why they chose to roll with it at this time was so dumb. If you do that at least do it on a damn PPV!

All of this is fixed by Jay winning at the PPV. After the Gunns challenge MJF for the RoH tag titles and beat the fuck out of him. He loses his gold to protect Cole's silverware and then turns on him and becomes the scummiest version of himself. Add in the whole reason BCG did this is because The Kingdom beat down Jay while in MJF's mask and boom, drama for days.
