Yes, which is why he's blocking anyone that mentions it on Twitter. In his defense, it really shouldn't be this bad, but the booking is dogshit done by a retard who had him debut at an Antonio Inoki 'tribute' event, appear on tv for five seconds to talk about maple syrup with a guy who just lost the company 100m, and then close the show by getting btfo to setup a match with a guy named 'Luchasaurus'.

Edge is a draw, but AEW is a sinking ship.

Its been 4 years. AEW is not "The New Thing" to check out anymore. Tony refused to listen to wiser voices and carried on with his Internet Mark Booking, non-stop Hotshotting, letting people do Death Matches every other week, and continued pushing the Ratings Killer known as the Women's Division. Lots of people realized they'd seen everything there was to see, with a lot of it being garbage, and checked out with no intention of ever coming back.

I should've added another big problem Tony has is not knowing how to bring in new viewers. Imagine someone flipping through the channels while the Toni Storm spastic acting bits were playing? They're gonna stop for 10 seconds, ask themselves "WTF am I looking at here" before changing the channel and making a mental note to not go back to it. Imagine thinking Eddie Kingston vs Minoru Suzuki would appeal to anyone that wasn't already committed to watching AEW that night.

So all he's a left with is an ever declining fan base of the people AEW started with.

This is why for the last few nights I have been saying smarks are a factor as to why wrestling over all (be it WWE/NXT or AEW) aren't what they used to be. People trying too hard to cater to these nerds who think they are smart but they are just as retarded as the marks they gatekeep. It also didn't help that Brawl Out was handled so poorly and it showed what they think of "top stars/draws" who don't play along with his man child EVPs.

Khan was in over his head and now he paid the price.

WWE matches all have a simple easy to follow story that somone can pick up on within seconds. They know who the bad guy is, they know who the good guy is, they know who is currently winning the match and if there is any nuance that can't be picked up just by looking at what's happening the commentators will fill you in.
Compare that to flippy indy midget stunt fests where nothing makes sense and then it suddenly ends because that's what worked when they were doing $5 entry spot shows at the foundry in bumfuck, iowa

Difference in quality between AEW and WWE is huge now. The only thing AEW has left to clinge to is 'they do lots of movez in their matches' That's all that's left

They also blade. Actually that's one thing I really do prefer about AEW, not so much the constant blading, but I think if someone happens to be busted open it's okay to just let them bleed as long as it's not serious. It's always a pet peeve of mine in WWE when, especially during a hardcore match, they stop everything to wipe somebody's face down. I think the match between Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy for example would've been cooler if they had let Tiff's face stay all bloody, and that would've become a pretty iconic image like it did for Britt.

To try to attract a new, younger audience obviously. To try to get new viewers who don't normally watch TNT/TBS to tune in. And it failed horribly.

Because instead of using Wrestlers that might actually attract new fans; he put a fat, balding, dirty bum and a tiny, old Japanese grandpa in that spot. In Tony's mind it was probably a great match since he himself is one of those hardcore Smarks that this might appeal to. This is why Tony shouldn't be the only person Booking AEW, he needs to be protected from himself if he has any intention of keeping AEW in business long term.

I'm just saying I didn't watch that match but I remember seeing those images of her bloody face. And I think that would've been cool if Tiffany had gotten that image, and it's not like a cut above the eye is a serious injury that needs to be taken care of. Cena is probably going to go down as the most loved star ever. People appreciate him more than ever after he got shit on for so long and they'll never forget the fact that he never left and despite saying he's gone to Hollywood he comes back like every few months and even does dark matches for them. He's also the only one that can keep that kind of momentum and crowd reaction, anyone else coming back for months straight would cool off a bit.
