HISTORY MAKING title runs are now meaningless because WWE books everything with a HISTORY MAKING title run. I'm not going to care when Austin Theory pins him and ends the 4,562 day streak or when Charlotte becomes the 38 time champ no matter how much WWE rams it down our throats.

We all know title runs are just mediocre chosen one company boy brand ambassadors getting pats on the head. They don't even hide it. Charlotte is going to be a 38 time world champ whose had 3 good matches and can't pop a crowd or a rating.

Probably not any time soon. I think is more likely that he gets injured long term or retires.
He has been booked like the modern god of WWE and they don't seem like they want to commit to any babyface to dethrone him.

Has he really though? He has cheated and had help with just about every victory hes had, and when was the last time he even fucking defended the belt? WWE has booked themselves into such a corner, that its hard to see how they get out of it. Maybe the have a plan, IDK....doesnt really seem like it right now. Roman has not even been on TV in like a fucking month. So that leaves everybody on SmackDown to fight over what? The US Title? I dont even know.

They probably want him to pass Hogan's run at this point, and I think that goes past this year's Mania, where they want him vs. Rock anyways. I'll say Mania 41, with the names that come to mind as Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker, and Solo Sikoa. Maybe Cody if he can somehow stay hot that long.

And yeah I don't think they have a plan yet, they probably want him to keep the belt as long as possible. I don't think he's losing to Rock, since there's reason for him to stay for a title run and I doubt they would make someone end Roman's run only to have a short reign
They'll probably do some "pass the torch" shit with someone like Sikoa or Bron when Roman is too old or wants to do something else like appear in movies.

I think the lesser Sammartino run will be the last broken record and if they plan it correctly, it can be the day of the Royal Rumble itself. Holding to hogan’s record is holding on for too long. I have zero faith that they can maintain interest in this run past WM 40.
It’s all moot, of course since this record is for the gummy roll belt and will be doomed to be forgotten in time whenever it’s amalgamated into the WWE championship.

Summerslam is an August PPV and would be before he beat’s Hogan’s record. I don’t see them ending this run on a B PPV either. It will be one of the Big 4.
Not dropping at Mania means they are going for the Hogan record which means he doesn’t lose it until Survivor Series 2024 at earliest. Way too long.

Roman's reign has gotten so boring and it really makes his matches too predictable because you know he isn't losing at this point unless it's at next year's WrestleMania, and even then I still expect him to win.

Reigns doesn't appear on television or perform at PPVs anywhere near often enough to warrant this lengthy run, and he's certainly not over enough to justify it. Not saying that he's not over, but for this sort of run, you would expect Roman to be twice as over as anyone else on the roster. Even peak Stone Cold and The Rock never had runs this long, and Hulk Hogan's lengthy runs saw him work events, and house shows, all the damn time. Hogan was working practically every day of the year. Not so with Roman.

AJ at Crown Jewel (ofc he’ll be on the Saudi show)
LA Knight at Survivor Series
Solo/Jimmy possibly at Rumble and whatever PLEs between? Or even Punk if the dirtsheets aren’t lying
And for Elimination Chamber they can book whoever
So logically they’re going to follow through with Cody at WM 40, or possibly have two matches if they can include Rock
