Well to be honest I didn't really get why AEW won when NXT was so much better. I guess people just didn't figure there was much reason to get attached to people in NXT when they were just going to be ruined on the main roster. And main roster WWE was certainly pretty terrible at that time. People were willing to overlook AEW's major flaws. But now that time has passed, WWE is doing really well creatively, and AEW is all out of tricks, and Tony is revealing himself to be even more of an autistic manchild than I realized.

WWE got in panic mode and stacked an entire show with appearances of some of their biggest stars of today and in its history couldn’t draw a milly against an AEW on a different night.
Haitch and Shawn are legitimately spooked by the presence of AEW, Haitch probably got flashbacks of NXT getting killed on the weekly and demanded bigger names for the show.

Tony is too autistic to realize that he should just shut up and is trying to reach for gotchas wherever he can find them but ultimately AEW itself will recover.

They're getting a bumper new TV deal so I doubt it. Their ratings still trounce most of cable and the PPVs do pretty well. He needs to sort many things out and professionalize the company more, starting with himself.

Bad booking does the most damage to a promotion but it's also the easiest to fix

There's talent, there's people there who can become stars with the right booking and presentation.

I believe the booking is much better lately. Fewer things are dropped, more things happen week to week. They even have created synergy between Dynamite and Collision which wasn't possible with CM Punk. But there\s still alot more they can do to improve.

This was always the case. Not just in terms of Tony needing to be more dignified and not responding to randos on Twitter or getting bothered by WWE breathing.
