No one who actually watched wrestling back in the mid-00s can deny that TNA was much better in their glory days than AEW is now.

around 2010 was the last time I really enjoyed watching wrestling week-to-week, with Impact. Before Hogan came in and ruined it. Damn shame. Some of WWE's stuff around 2017 was good, when AJ Styles was main eventing.

God no. TNA had bright spots like Kurt, Joe and Christian Cage, but everyone else was ex-WWE guys phoning it in and dicking around and guys who worked hard but had no star potential. TNA had billionaires and Spike desperately trying to make it work but there was nothing there.

Well don't watch this weeks ep. The last couple of weeks have been a bit sloppy. If you want to catch back up and watch Impact again check out the bound for glory preshow and ppv. They always do solid events on the wrestling side even if the booking is retarded sometimes. (most of the time)

TNA was fucking based. Injuries kind of fucked dudes like Pope and Wolfe who were going over big time but perc Angle, AJ, Joe and the various stables running worked really well + Velvet Sky and other knockouts were straight out sluts. Not to mention the tag division was always lit.

Dixie went fucking looney there for awhile and once she tried to fuck over AJ on his contract and he went on with his big time NJPW run it was pretty done for me. Easy to blame Hogan and co but Dixie made big mistakes before and after them that seriously hurt. They were doing legit ratings on fucking spike TV for years and she ruined that shit fast.

I was at BFG 2009 that was one hell of a PPV to see live. And yes I bought the brown bag special from Don West himself at the event afterwards and it was like 10 dvds, multiple shirts and other shit for like 30 bucks

Desmond Wolfe is a tragic injury. They wanted to push him to the fucking moon. I don't think Dixie tried to fuck AJ from everything thats been said they wanted him to stay at the same rate because they were trying to fix shit. Granted I would've paid him more but fuck him he was worn out anyhow. By the time he got to Japan he was a different AJ Styles and the shit in WWE wasn't anywhere near what Styles was in TNA. Dixie made mistakes but she cared about wrestling and wanted to put on a good product. Her mistake was trusting wrestlers. If she would've done more decisionmaking instead of trusting people who should know the industry well enough to succeed she probably would've lasted longer kek

One thing Impact's YT does well is they put up impacts and tna ppvs weekly. Always something to watch.

The money would have helped, but nobody liked TNA. Say what you will about AEW, but Tony will give the fans in his TEW save every stupid thing they want. TNA didn't. Literally, all TNA had to do was some very generic storylines that made sense and they would have been fine, yet they refused to.

Alvarez and the fags on the board always gave TNA way too much hate because they felt like TNA was taking the spot that ROH deserved. I had no idea that TNA had a bad stigma attached to it until years later when I found /wooo/

I first found TNA when it was on FS1. I was a wee lad who loved wrestling and would watch any of it I could find. First match I saw was AJ Styles vs. either Petey Williams or Chris Sabin. I instantly loved TNA, AJ Styles became my nigga, and I watched nearly every episode for years. Hogan era pretty much killed it for me, but I look back on a lot of TNA very fondly. There was just something soulful and comfy about it.

With that said, TNA never would have been as AEW is right now no matter how much money they had behind them. It was always a complete circus both in and out of the ring. Better production values wouldn't have fixed the problems that TNA had which was at its core claiming to be an alternative to WWE while essentially being the exact same fucking thing. ROH with money behind it would have been a lot more interesting because they actually were doing something different and money would fix basically all their problems (looking like it was filmed in a basement + constantly losing talent)

He would get corrected by the wrestlers he talked about themselves and then doubledown on shit. Everything from pay, to tv deals, to talent relations, to making up shit about fights backstage.

Yeah, and they've never made a profit, spent most of their peak years in the heat wasteland that was the Impact Zone, their PPV all-time record was still lower than AEW's lowest ever buyrate, and by the time they were finsply free of the burden of Russo as nd Dixie, they were on a station nobody watches.

Their problem wasn't the lack of money. That was a comparably minor issue.
