There was no reason to have that loss on his record though. It'd make much more sense for them to not cross paths until after Roman loses the belt. Everything he does after this will be a demotion, the ceiling has already been reached and he couldn't break through. With his age, it'll be a hard ceiling for the remainder of his career.
