Yeah, bro, Mick Foley's career in wrestling began the moment he flew off the top of the cell
He never worked prominent feuds in WCW before that, or had a massively pushed storyline feud with the Undertaker for years or anything.
And he wasn't given a ton of character work either, sure!
And he was such a shitty promo that they kept him around for years as a featured performer in the GM role...

but yeah man, it was all the bumps.

Worse in the ring than Mick's prime because he could take sick bumps better than anyone, sure.

Either way, the point is saying a guy like Eddie isn't good enough to make the cut in 2023 is retarded when a guy like Mick could make the cut in 1998.

Once again, I KNOW Eddie Kingston is not as talented as Mick Foley.
But my point remains.

If a guy like Mick could cut it in 1998, a guy like Eddie is perfectly acceptable in 2023.
Call it the fall of the business if you like but Eddie is fine for today's wrestling.

not especially. he got some decent reactions by the end, but the crowd was tepid towards him for most of the G1. I think the press he did there (meeting his heroes) helped him more than anything in the ring.
