There is zero actual wrestling, You want to watch wrestling, go watch olympic wrestling. As we can see the more in ring fake fighting you have the less you will draw ratings and it has always been that way. As Russo once said, there is two things casual tv viewer cares when it comes to a match: who is going over and what's next?

No it isn't. The complete dimelessness of wrestling promotions that focus on wrestling proves that the point of wrestling isn't wrestling. The point of wrestling is to tell an entertaining story with entertaining characters who either resolve their conflicts or escalate their conflicts via fighting. This is why WWE is utterly wiping the floor with AEW. Mind you WWE isn't very good at providing entertainment but at least they've got the right idea and they're trying. So they win.

A big part of the reason why AEW has lost 200-300k viewers is because they focus on wrestling over stories and characters.

Roman's story, whatever Rey Mysterio's kid is doing, probably some other stuff. Maybe some slime is involved. I don't watch WWE so I don't really know what storylines they're running right now kek. I just know WWE understands that pro wrestling is a storytelling medium and it isn't about the wresting which is why they're absolutely crushing AEW.
