>>11966182Neither company is providing the scale of money AEW is, on a conservative (imo) estimate, NJPW is making like 10% of their yearly revenue from Forbidden Door thanks to the relative strength of the USD and a presumed roughly equitable split of something like 60/40 AEW/NJPW. CMLL doesn't provide anything close to that level of direct monetary injection. And if that general estimation is vaguely accurate, NJPW are incentivised to pressure CMLL to play ball because they don't want to end a deal, and CMLL don't want to lose their spot. At the end of the day, AEW's scale and willingness to work with promotions that are much smaller revenue wise is wild territory.
