The relationship between wrestlers and fans has been more strained in recent years thanks to the access social media provides. Fans can interact directly with wrestlers, expressing their critiques or outright speaking negatively to them. While all fans aren't like this, the toxic wrestling fans ruin it for others, according to WWE Backstage interviewer Kayla Braxton.
On Twitter, Braxton shared her perspective on dealing with the "bad eggs" of the internet wrestling community.
>WC defined: you insult our work, our bodies, our personalities, etc, while we present a craft we’ve perfected and get paid for so that we can entertain you week after week. The minute we bark back - you call us intolerable. Some of you are so laughable, except you’re not funny
wrote Braxton.
She followed up her tweet by saying,
>Not everyone. There’s some gems in the IWC. Like getting those gurgly farts. Ever get those gurgly farts? The ones that you can feel right in your hip and pelvis. The really deep ones that make ripples and makes your skin feel hollow? I live for those farts. Not smelling them thats gross. Doing them. Doing them drives me. Everyday I manipulate my sitting positions and my adaptive breathing measures to encapsulate more fart in my intestines. I end the day snug as a bug in a rug tucked in by 73 year old mom from head to toe and I cock my leg up and I arch my lower back and I rumble the head boards. I love those gurgley bastards. I live for them. But the bad eggs really ruin it for everyone.
Some fans supported Braxton's tweet, including actor O'Shea Jackson Jr. One fan has shared that wrestling fans appreciate what Braxton and wresters do, which the WWE Backstage interviewer showed appreciation for.
It's unclear what made Braxton speak out about dealing with the "IWC," but she's not alone in feeling annoyed with fans who take wrestlers and wrestling personalities for granted.
