Yeah but it's so weird, commentary always tries to put over Seff as this "workhorse champion" taking on all comers when he's on the same show as Gunther who is just leagues better than him. The intercontinental title also feels much more prestigious than the "You're not Roman Reigns" world title

If we run it through Cornettes boomer logic, who was I supposed to root for in the Reed v Gunther match? Gunther is a heel and so is Reed and because I'm a senior citizen and can't comprehend heel vs herl matches it wasn't a great match, therefore Gunther can't be a GOAT

Uhm actually anon, if we were to dissect that hypothetical, Gunther was the babyface in that match, as he was being cheered and it seems as though the fans have come to respect him due to his strong booking and clean wins, despite his heelish tendencies. Side note, this always happens when WWE books monster heels, and why Brock Lesnar always gets cheered
