How does one get into Japanese wrestling? Are there subtitles for promos? Everybody looks the same and doesn't stick out. It's also hard to find. It's easier for me to find outlaw deathmatch bullshit. Not bashing genuinely curious

Maybe start by taking guys you are already familiar with (AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Chris Jericho, Kevin Nash) and watch them vs Japanese opponents

Watch matches that interest you.

NJPW and NOAH both have subs and English commentary (some of the time).

JWA (and too a lesser extent AJPW) ran tons of evil western heel vs. heroic Japanese face matches. Pretty easy to tell the westerners and the Japanese apart. Kings Road era had pretty consistent gear colors. Even if you can't Kawada and Misawa apart by face or build, Kawada is wearing black and yellow and Misawa is wearing green and white.
