He's the white man's Tanahashi, and while that doesn't make him the GOAT, it sure does look like it if you squint. To be the anointed ace of a company during a rough patch and to be lauded with accolades over that period is a very good look now that they're picking up again. They absolutely needed a Mickey Mouse during those years, and fans just didn't like that the right guy for the job did better as a Bart Simpson.
