too much TV censorship, people can't even chant "holy shit" anymore without some corporate fag censoring it. Also, WWE squandered what could have been a new boom period by giving people soulless garbage, idiotic stories, and LOLROMANWINS. Shit was hot for a few months after HHH took over but then they tanked the thing.

Everything that has been has been, well, seen. There's nothing bigger than the Bloodline, or ever will be bigger than the Bloodline, and they pretty much run through the story and have nothing left. They've burned through all the cities at least 3x times now so going to a WWE event isn't as NEW as it was before.

95% of what's aired on a wrestling show is inconsequential trash, hopelessly uninteresting or both. spread across 10 hours a week per promotion, it's only ever a matter of time before people make peace with missing 'some,' before concluding they can miss 'all.'

This is the main reason. People are watching but young people don't have cable so they watch via streams. USA is fucking up by not simulcasting Raw and NXT on Peacock. Even with Smackdown in free TV there's a lot of areas in the country where digital over-the-air signals don't reach, including where I live. I have YouTube TV almost exclusively for wrestling but I'm in the minority of the younger audience.
