The Quarters promo killed the MJF character. Yeah sure his pre-AEW stuff always hinted that there was something wrong with him, but it looked more like he was a psychopath with a superiority complex. Him just turning out to be a kid who was bullied and internalized it to "make MJF" made him look like a total bitch. He went from a conniving heel with mystique to a Steven Universe character and it only worsened when he turned face.
