Instead parents are overworked and children are raised by their peers and/or algorithms with some getting kicked out of the house after a decade of being treated as a child. The children then become slaves to debt, work, and often substances and then usually cannot come out of it until their mid to late 30s, right in time for half of it’s people to start becoming unable to have healthy children of their own if at all.
tl;dr: The American family unit are fattened farm animals.
