but this is a parallel i'm feeling: there was a big wave with trump but year after year there was just misstep after misstep (basically didn't fulfil much) & by the end you had his fanbase turn on him because of his inaction.
even guys like cody and the brothers jackson started saying they weren't "trumpers" as if by the end of his term he was even popular by his own fanbase REGARDLESS of how many votes he got in 2020.
with tony he had it in a neutral state: basically trying to claim back some relapsed fans from AE. but 2 years in his started to lose a core part cattering to woke shit (sorry it's true) and now 2 years after that even reddit and twitter have had enough of him.
