Nah he's Hella based.

He's also dealt with a bunch of bullshit

He's had a few great feuds. The only downside as far as I can see is the lack of worthwhile challenger's AND putting the RoH tag belts on him instead of the AEW tag belts

I don't really watch AEW, but from what I've seen, it looked more like turning him babyface and teaming with Adam Cole ruined his reign and was booked horribly.

He's a natural heel working best in entitled privileged snivelling snake gimmick where he's a decent but not amazing wrestler. Miz with a dash of Flair and Hollywood Rock.
He's been rebooked as a plucky, WORKRATE, hard fighting "he's just like me" hero to losers, outcasts and neurotic tumblr freaks. It's a dimeless gimmick for basically anyone but on him is giga antidimes.

Hes a midcard heel trying to play a top babyface. Yeah he can get simple things over, good for him, but his face promos suck so its a wash - at best he should be a midcard face.
