>>12097203I was a young mark & WCW kid at the time so I hated HHH then. In hindsight that was the point but the problem was he was dull as fuck, elevated 1 guy (Batista) & pissed multiple potential draws down the drain, not necessarily world champ draws but guys just came out worse for facing HHH.
>OrtonWas elevated by Foley/RVD/Benoit, killed by the face turn & HHH, only recovered turning back heel & facing Taker
>BenoitSmark favourite but with some casual legitimacy, was a reliable uppercarder 2000-01, 03-04, gets the belt from HHH but then forever back in the midcard. Even as champ tended to play second fiddle to HHHs stories.
>RVDOver but not a viable champ in 2003, only times he could have been were transition in late 2002 then 2006, but Orton did more for him than HHH did
>JerichoDidn't recover from his 2002 feud with HHH until he left & came back.
>Booker TGenuinely over, good promo, good wrestler, gets jobbed out at Mania never sniffs the main event until he goes to Smackdown & turns heel
>SteinerBrought in too soon which killed him, should never have been a face Vs HHH. Was shit but was hurt & hotshotted for no good reason.
>GoldbergCould have legitimately moved the needle back up, HHH gets the 1st & 2nd pins on him he's completely out of value in under a year.
>EugeneComedy lowercarder who got hot Vs HHH then came out of it worse, was never as popular again
>MavenMidcard champ potential. Put in the Survivor Series shit, comes out like a loser
>KaneRare beneficiary but due to the aftermath booking in the first 12mths after being unmasked not due to HHH himself
>HurricaneRock did his best to elevate this comedy jobber, HHH squashes any goodwill, full Zack Ryder job.
Nearly everyone who HHH faced came out worse for it & needed to switch brands or leave to recover, if at all. That's 1 thing as a babyface champ beating monsters of the week. As a heel champ that just kills all the crowd favs. Fuck knows how Reigns has stockholmed people.
