>>12099074NWA just had a sellout show in a 1500 capacity venue this weekend. It was a really old masonic hall but there was a very comfy vibe to it. The wrestlers tooko full advantage of the venue and there were a ton of spots taking place outside the ring as the wrestlers worked there way through the crowds, up into the balconies and throwing themselves off of every high place they could find. It didn't feel embarrassing, it felt fun and soulful compared to a half empty arena.
Arenas really only work when they are packed and the roar of the crowd has a momentum of its own. If you can't get close to capacity it is honestly better to work a smaller venue you can sell out so long as it isn't a literal bingo hall.
