>>12099649It still has some good stuff, but Cody leaving and becoming a huge star was a big blow, although they could have recovered, firing Punk after they invested so much into him was really bad for them and damaged the brand, then the head-to-head with NXT was the point where the tide really changed. You could feel it in the air before the shows, you knew AEW would lose, and not lose gracefully. They stopped feeling like a rival and more like TNA at that point. Edge's debut not moving the needle showed how much trouble they got themselves into. It will take a long, careful rebuild over at least a year but they don't seem to be investing in it.
