>>12141549This doesn't surprise me, the 30-50 something fat slobs you see in WWE/AEW crowds front row time after time are the guys manning the mid-level jobs at all the fortune 500 tech and media companies. And AEW definitely has a higher percentage of fat nerds with no kids and high disposable income in its crowds.
The ratings and deals debate is kind of stupid though. AEW and WWE are both much higher rated than 90% of TV. Even if getting kicked off network drops WWE to a milly while AEW stays at 700,000~, they'll still be the highest rated shows on TV every night there isn't a football game, basketball game, or international conflict breaking out. WBD owns the channel AEW is on, and everything else on that channel has way worse ratings, so they're gonna keep it.
Fox doesn't have a reason to keep WWE, they could probably run syndicated telenovelas in spanish and get better ROI. Audience of with only access to antenna tv that also speaks English is pretty small. Only possible reason to keep it would be to avoid some viewers going to USA with Smackdown, but honestly, if your data says they don't watch family guy, the simpsons, and your shit reality shows anyway, fuck 'em, let 'em go.
It was weird that wrestling was ever on a network that wasn't UPN. Vince is a hell of a con man.
