It's always been weird to me that he ended up in AEW when AEW type fans never liked him period. I'm pretty sure not even casuals liked the guy. There was not a lot more groan worthy than hearing his music hit back in the day.

The crowds occasionally were awful during that period of time between 2009 and 2013. They weren't mic'd up very well either. Some PPVs would go the whole way through with only 3-4 pops at best. I would still take that over the current piped in cheers however.
