Phil sucked in AEW. The only good thing he did was feud with MJF and that shit was carried HARD by Max. Punk's whole golly gee shucks I'm just happy to be here schtick got old fast. The only time we got a glimpse of the Punk we used to love was at a press conferences where he wasn't even in character.

He is still doing programmes which lead to nothing though, so that bit's consistent.

Cody is one of the few cases where WWE watering down a wrestler has been a good thing. I always thought his AEW antics were hilarious but he was never going to be the big white meat babyface he wanted to be while acting like that.

No. He’s one of the most fedpilled wrestlers alive. In AEW his focus group tested promos came off as hokey and inauthentic because you had guys on the roster who could actually talk from the heart and not from a script. He works way better in WWE because he’s one of the best at cutting “sports entertainment” promos.

Yes. He was one of the few people with the power and sway to influence the entire program for the better by putting on good segments and telling the comedy jobber nepo hires to fuck off. If he goes to WWE he will still be good but he will ultimately be a diluted version of himself to suit their system. AEW was where he could fully be himself, unless he somehow goes to Impact I guess.

I don't miss The Codester cause he's thriving in WWE and he's a reason for me to watch main roster shows. I don't miss Punk cause his run on Collision showed the guy was really slowing down and I couldn't bear to watch any more of his weekly 30 minute main events against the same people.
