Dylan, and Tommy Dreamer made fun of Matt during a podcast saying that the only reason why he was hired was due to him kissing Cody's ass. They appeared to have convinced Matt to not stay in AEW.
Of all the friends Matt claims to have, Cody was the only guy to have actually helped him when he was let go from WWE. Cody probably felt betrayed and got black pilled considering the rumors that he felt isolated back stage when that happened.
I like Matt, and AEW but he seems do be doing great doing his own thing. Maybe he will return and sign a proper contract that'll be followed with tons of anti-Matt threads afterwards.
