As a wrestling fan it's really disappointing the person with deep enough pockets to compete with WWE would rather serve his own ego and larp as Vince rather than offer an actual alternative. Both WWE and AEW are sports entertainment slop for retards, shitty womeme wrestling, same fake looking spots guys have been doing for years, no commitment to kayfabe, a ton of pointless championships, no effort to present wrestling seriously. I'm sure fat marks will spew some bullshit like "kayfabe is already dead so it doesn't matter" but that's the type of retarded thinking that led wrestling to the point it's at now. Influencer boxing proves there's a market for worked fights as long as people care about the people involved. People understand television shows are fake too but James Gandolfini never winked at the camera and smiled during The Sopranos because it would be insulting to the audience's intelligence. Live sports is the biggest commodity in media but instead of trying to capitalize on that AEW would rather just cater to the same subhumans who watch WWE.
