They're blowing it with this gimmick. It needs more production values. TS should be filming classic movie scenes instead of rolling around tables pulling fruit out of her ass.

In AEW no one believes in anything, there's no Kayfabe there, so it's on the wrestlers and production staff to fully commit to the gimmick, instead letting JR and Tony shit on everything in commentary

Some sources suggest that WBD has a percentage in AEW, and that that's why they're not that worried.
To them it's cheap programming. Or better, if Tony Khan's paying them to put the show on TV, more than ads for other shoes would pay, they're profiting off of Tony Khan's failure.
