By the time they hit 35 a person has basically stopped developing. Maybe they can learn new things and make lifestyle changes, but their core personality will always remain the same. Women like Cathy are undesirable because at this point what you see is what you get.
She was desirable when she was younger because she was younger and more attractive, sure, but also because most normies give people a "pass" in their early twenties. The assumption is that by pissing your life away in nightclubs a person will learn how meaningless it all is and begin to focus their pursuits elsewhere (not that this works mind you).
Cathy never moved on, she never learned that there are more things to life than immediate gratification. That's why she's unattractive and constantly in a state of "trying to find her soulmate", an idea that is incredibly childish in itself, rather than evaluating her life choices and decisions.
