>>12177959This. I feel the perfect fed would have the best aspects of both companies. I think a TV 14 version of current WWE would be great. They can have more swearing and even some blood without scaring off sponsors. I don't think main roster WWE's in ring style will ever change just because of the sheer amount of dates they work. NXT has always seemed to have a harder hitting style than the main roster for some reason. Working an all out, hard hitting style like AEW or New Japan is unsustainable on a WWE sized schedule.
>>12178047There's too much silliness in AEW. MJF's title run has been a joke because everything he's doing is a joke. The friendship angle with Adam Cole sucks. The shit with Roddy and the Kingdom is even worse. And this new gay angle with the Acclaimed just might bury everyone involved.
Tony turned me off the promotion by giving Pockets, of all people, a mega push this year. The dude is a comedy jobber who should be used sparingly, not a secondary workhorse champion.
Their women's division is joke. Especially in comparison to WWE, NXT and even TNA. It's literally just one "girl's match" per night. No wonder why no women want to work there. The only woman who's gotten consistent TV time in 2023 is Skye Blue.
Their tag division has fallen off hard too. I can't even tell you who the champions are right now. It used to be pretty good.
Rampage and Collision are unwatchable.
The only good thing right now is heel Christian. /pw/ was begging Tony to bring Christian back last year it turns out we were right. Maybe he should listen to us instead of the Reddit and Twitter crowd.
