The actual story of the MyRise modes in 2k23 are pretty dull, but the details of the writing are pretty hilarious. You can tell whoever wrote them was very familiar with the product, because there's a bunch of in-jokes and references that are there to pop the hardcores
>during a tag title tournament, someone references that all the tag teams are just single stars who are forced to work together
>the Legacy MyRise ends with your character shooting on all the old legends coming back to take spots from younger talent
>to recruit Brock to your faction, you have to take his place in a match so he can stay home from work and hunt
>you can win the 24/7 Championship in a side story, and the leader of your stable will tell you that the 24/7 title actually lowers the value of both you and the stable as a whole
>when you first get signed to WWE, a 10-year undercarder Dolph Ziggler type warns you not to sneeze in front of Vince
>Adam Pearce complains that 3 hours is too long for Raw, and says he has to sometimes book random matches just to fill time
>when you play as a female wrestler, one of the stories you get involves getting creepy DMs from a stalker
>you have to face Elias and Ezekiel in a 2-on-1 handicap match
