This is it, basically. They were the biggest indie stars in wrestling at the start of AEW. Perhaps the biggest non-signed stars since the death of the territories and ECW.
The problem is that they had Tony Khan as booker who didn't know how to build new stars while maintaining them, so now they're just some other guys on the roster.
Same with Danielson.

This is 100% on point. The fact the the Elite vs CMFTR didn't materialize speaks to their absolute incompetence. They aren't real wrestlers.

They got Jay White, the top foreigner in NJPW and nobody gives a fuk.
All just coincidence that none of this amounts to success in AEW.

They are entirely an internet creation. I remember seeing them on TNA years ago and not even remembering them until I started hearing them named on the internet. To this day I still do not understand the comparisons to the Hardy Boyz. The Hardy's had that Xfactor that mystique and they seemed like genuinely cool guys.
