>>12197484Steak Tartare is a thing and it is delicious. Hell I remember reading about it in an old WWE magazine comic way back in the 80s. In the comic the Bushwhackers went to a really upscale New York restaurant and ended up getting into a fight with the Nasty Boys. One of the Bushwhackers smashed some steak tartare into the face of one of the Nasty Boys and for years the question of what Steak Tartare actually was haunted the back of my mind. Flash forward like 20+ years and I am on a date in a very nice restaurant and I see it on the menu. My curiosity got the better of me so I ended up ordering it. Both my date and I were slightly disgusted when it arrived, but I didn't show it since I didn't want her to think I was a geek and ended up eating it. It is a very simple dish with a very nice flavor.
I wouldn't do it with supermarket ground beef, but if I got a nice cut of beef from the butcher and ground it myself I would 100% eat again.
