>>12221086The lack of the type of characters known by social psychologists as "enforcers" has hurt almost every major group from athletes to workplaces to the military.
Social group dynamics, especially in traditionally male spaces, have been studied and understood for decades. The purpose of hazing is to engender trust between individuals and enforce social norms that carry down as generational knowledge. It isn't about weeding people out per se, but more about changing their behavior into something that each member of the group can trust.
In the military and other trust based groups including wrestling, it is extremely important to have a cohesive group with a shared bond and heritage. Personalities may clash but the shared bond ensures that nobody will hurt their brothers intentionally.
This is the role that Wrestlers Court and people like JBL enforced, they ensured the cohesiveness of the group so professionalism towards each other was upheld.
