Listen up Tony, this is how business works... first, the actors had gotten way too expensive. The new contracts alone would have bankrupted Disney. Better to put them on ice and break them out when ratings are really needed.
and second, their deaths gave the Infinity Saga actual stakes. You reading this Tony? Storylines need a beginning, middle, and end.
