I think the CW/NXT deal has a hell of a lot more to do with it than whatever the “drug-related ppv spot” is. I seriously doubt the network said “hey, I don’t think I like that thing they just did. Quick! Go spend $175 million on a competing show.” Talks with WWE would have been going on long before that.
