Bullshit. There were rumors of them getting a TV deal before AEW was even officially announced as a promotion. Tony Khan was meeting with TNT months before All In about starting up a wrestling promotion and having a show on TNT. Then he saw how much success All In was getting and decided to piggy back off their concept. "Tuesday Night Dynamite" was literally trademarked the same day as "All Elite Wrestling." AEW never would have been formed if a TV deal wasn't a certainty.

Yes. I did the math, and the short gist of it is that if Tony got a billion or even half of that from daddy to waste, he could still run about a 500- 1000 shows in an arena without making a single solitary dime.
Like full on operating on complete loss and selling no tickets or merch and you could still book around 750 shows with the salaries and estimates of wrestler salaries and crew costs for a day.
And we can presume they aren't running all negative either so even with minimal revenue Tony can keep that shit running for years, decades.
