If there's any lesson to be learned with AEW, it's that familiar names are not the key to success. Familiarity breeds contempt. You throw a bunch of people rejected by one company into another and that contempt will still be there. It should've been a more serious product, but Tony Khan made the mistake of his life by not keeping Cody who was sort of the backstage leader and the real leader of the company. Someone who could actually handle people and problems. It's funny that of all the people Tony focused on wanting, he took for granted what he had. It always more, more, more.
