Dave Meltzer originally reported the reason WWE didn't run Clash at the Castle in Wembley was because they were offered more money for another venue

>Last year, WWE also ran Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales, but according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, that was not the original plan. In fact, WWE had originally intended to use Wembley Stadium, but the company was offered more money to hold the event at Principality Stadium, so the decision was made to change plans.
However when asked on twitter why WWE didn't run Wimbley he tweeted
>Because they don't believe they can. Nobody turns away a guaranteed 50,000 ticket show, let alone 80,000.

This what a attempt to make AEW look better with their supposed new attendance record, which was also a lie.
Regardless of which is true, Dave Meltzer has been caught in another lie. Dave Meltzer BTFOd yet again!
