I really want to like Eddie Kingston. He’s enjoyable on the mic and has a unique and almost-good gimmick, his accent stands out in a positive way, and he’s got an inspiring backstory. It’s just that I watch his matches and it feels like none of his moves have any impact, especially those chops he does so much, they look flimsy and harmless. I expect “gruff, angry guy from the bodega who’ll fight anyone” and get “fat old guy with completely impotent rage”
