Chicks got equal time, eventually more than equal time.
Bunch of girls got hotshotted through NXT to pad the roster and it shows, they're not very agile or technical or coordinated.

It started getting more regular in 2015 as far as NXT / WWE is concerned, and just like the dudes some are good, and some are shitters,
But the good ones are really really good though, plus hot chicks in booty shorts is over with me brother,

The WWE women's wrestling stuff will be explained in here but on a much smaller note it's also worth bringing up that the company that owns NJPW bought the biggest all girls fed in Japan (Stardom) and pumped a bunch of money into it, they grew a good deal over the pandemic when other feds were ice cold. Dave Meltzer started shilling it to Americans in 2021 and now their fans are everywhere on here instead of just keeping to their general.

Stephanie McMahon got shamed on social media for how WWE treated thotties so they have dedicated half their programming to women for almost 8 years.

AEW tried to keep it to a minimum but they keep getting bullied into doing more and so they have to have 2 womens matches on their PPVS these days.
