The moment he won the IWGP belt, he said he was going to leave and you can see how terrible his ideas were with all the stupid shit he had that got no fucking heat from that crowd, and it drew less than the prior year. Meltzer and idiots cared about the BC drama and Golden Lovers shit, but that crowd never cared about any of them other than Kenny. It was weird that he won the belt and just went right into that shit and basically killed his own run after so much build up.
Naito and Okada basically had to come back and re-draw the house again in 2020 from all the damage that Kenny did with his reign.
