In the past a lot of people paid just to see Hogan, Austin, Rock, etc. In these days a minority pay to see Roman but the vast majority pays because it's WWE. The brand it's the draw and they have been working with that in mind for a long time.
But take any wrestler that overall does a fine job like Roman and push him really hard for years and years, and you get the same result
