Honestly reminds me of so many things in WWE which took me out of it. Hangman is supposed to look strong in defeat but there literally no where else for this to escalate too. Well, if it's handled properly, this will be the first stretch of a long-term rivalry between these guys that'll stretch across multiple feuds.

If anything, it sets up Hangman as a great opponent for Swerve when he gets the title. And maybe the ideal person to take the belt off of him.

I'm thinking this leads to Swerve winning the title at the PPV next month and Hangman getting his redemption and beating him to death to win it off him in 2024 (I'd say at some point between DoN and Full Gear). But what will actually happen is MJF will hold the title until Cole is back to drag that shit out, Swerve will feud with geeks in the midcard and Hangman will disappear until it's time for him to be a minor character in whatever wank Elite story that's coming up.
