The point is that the twist is so utterly self-defeating that it no longer becomes a matter of suspending anything, they are telling you openly, screaming at your face in substituting a literally injured man in place of a falsely injured one, that it does not matter whatsoever.
It would have been better to just go ahead with it with him work injured, then it would have JUST been a dog shit match, instead of a dog shit match with additional overbooking.
